Fulbright Programs
for Slovak Institutions

Through the Fulbright Program, Slovak universities and research institutions, as well as governmental or non-governmental organizations and cultural centers, may invite a U.S. scholar to consult, give lectures or workshops in order to develop institutional cooperation and curriculum for a short visit. Secondary schools may also receive an English Teaching Assistant from the U.S. to help their school with teaching the English language.

Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program

The English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program gives the opportunity to Slovak secondary schools to request an English Teaching Assistant for one academic year (10 months). English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) are U.S. college graduates at Bachelor level or higher (a Bachelor degree in the U.S. requires 4 years of study).

Fulbright Specialist Program

The Fulbright Specialist Program is intended for Slovak institutions to host U.S. faculty members, professionals and artists for 2 to 6 weeks to serve as expert consultants on curriculum and materials, faculty development, institutional planning, deliver seminars and workshops, conferences or symposiums and lectures.

Inter-Country Travel Grant for U.S. Lecturers in Europe

The Inter-Country Travel Grant is an opportunity for Slovak scholars and other professionals that are currently on Fulbright programs in Europe to create connections with fellow U.S. scholars in their field. Through this program, Slovak institutions can invite a U.S. scholar for a short visit to Slovakia.
